So you think you can sip a tea?

You take a cup, fill it with 99 % of hot water, put in a tea bag and yes, we have water with some nice color and we think that is tea . Easy, right?

Right, that is the old way of drinking tea or actually the other way around: it’s the modern way of consuming tea fast, easy and ready to go.

So you think you can sip a tea?

Well, let me tell you one thing that is true, the 99% of water content but rest of the tea story and way of drinking is not the way it should be anymore. As a Tea sommelier I can see the amazing work field that has been opened these days that we want more quality, more experience and more pure taste in our life. We like to spend money, but if we do it, then it better be the best quality we can get and it better be good and lots of ‘x’ factor in it.

Now during these blogs I hope I can get you more into the real tea world I’m working in and the experience of this wonderful yet delicate product that exists. I was in London and Paris for a couple of days last Month to see what is happening in these leading capital cities of Europe when it comes to the drinking of Tea. I was surprised how much cafés in London serve loose leave teas but also the way they do it. It’s fun, trendy and vintage style. You can drink amazing Teas at the first Slow Tea bar near Liverpool street called Tea Smith. I love their way of serving it!
